  1. Summary of Japan’s Economy

    Japan has very few natural resources; therefore it must import most of its raw materials. Despite the fact that Japan lacks many natural resources, they have a flourishing fishing industry. Within their fishing industry they fish internationally which results in 5 million pounds of fish sold each year. Naturally, fish is a large part of the Japanese diet as well. As much as Japan is known for their great fishing industry, they are greatly known for their high quality goods such as automobiles, televisions, cameras and compact disc players. In order to produce these products Japan receives imports of raw materials from other countries. The economic success that Japan has had can be attributed to the excellent and efficient work ethic of most Japanese people who work within the booming industries. Also one of the reasons why the Japanese companies and economy have had such great success is largely due from foreign investments in automobiles, entertainment and real estate.

Most of these countries fulfill the demand Japan creates for fish, as it is an important part of their diet. A lot of Japanese companies have benefitted from foreign investments, such as real-estate and entertainment. Japans huge economic success can be thanked to the large work ethic of most Japanese workers. As such, employees are motivated to work hard because their employers often offer great programs such ad job security, exercise classes, and countless others. Due to Japan's investment in other countries, their economy has benefited greatly. MAny of these investments are in fields such as the entertainment industries and real estate.
